First, if you have experienced sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating/domestic violence or stalking, Colgate wants to support you in any way we can. Whether or not you file a formal complaint, you are entitled to support services, some of which (like Haven, or the counseling center) are confidential. See /about/campus-services-and-resources/sexual-violence-support for a full description of resources available.
This form may be used to report information to Colgate administrators related to alleged violations of Colgate's Student Non-Discrimination Anti-arassment and Sexual Misconduct Policy, which prohibits sexual misconduct of various types, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, dating/domestic violence, stalking, and retaliation. The online form is received by the Title IX Coordinator, who retains the report in the Office of Equity and Diversity and shares it with other university administrators on a need-to-know basis.
Except in cases of clear danger to the community, the information provided in this form does not trigger any investigation or adjudication of the alleged behavior unless the reporting party indicates that is the desired outcome. If the reporting party provides their name and contact information and indicates a desire to be contacted, a Colgate administrator will reach out to provide resources, support and information on options and next steps.
